# cgc-cards-cert — CGC Cards certificate verification

Verifies CGC Cards (TCG / sports / non-sports) cert numbers against https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup/<cert>/ (Firecrawl render of the Cloudflare-challenged public page). One request per known cert.

  • certUrl(cert) / certFromUrl(url) (also accepts the QR form /CERTLOOKUP/<cert>/0_0/).
  • Output: catalog_item (card name, game/sport, set, number, year, language, grade, grade date, holder images, identifiers.cgc_cert); population_report only when CGC shows a number (many cards read "Coming Soon!").
  • Category: franchise/sport detected from game + set + name (pokemon, magic_the_gathering, …), sports brands → sports_cards, otherwise trading_cards with lower confidence.
  • Fixtures: data/fixtures/cgc-cards-cert/ (certs published on a public collector forum) — rebuild with capture.ts cgc-cards-cert lances-charizard=4340250003 not-found=9999999999.
