# Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — `oracle-regions`
| | |
|---|---|
| Source | `https://www.oracle.com/cloud/public-cloud-regions/` (server-rendered HTML) |
| Kind / mode | `cloud_provider` / `html`, implementation `cloud_regions`, parser `cloud_oracle_regions_v1` |
| Fetch | **L2** (direct HTTP with a browser identity — oracle.com answers 403 to the bot UA, including for robots.txt; with a browser identity robots.txt allows `/cloud/`). No rendering, 0 credits. rpm 6. |
| Schedule | weekly |
| License / attribution | Publicly published provider documentation; facts only — "Oracle — oracle.com/cloud/public-cloud-regions" |
| Verified live | 2026-09-11: 57 regions, 57 valid, 0 rejected (47 operational, 2 announced, 8 restricted, 2 sovereign) |
**Structure.** Accordion `
` per realm (`Commercial | Sovereign | Government | Multicloud | Connectivity`), one
table per area (North America, Europe, …), rows `| US East (Ashburn) | … Live | Coming soon | Planned | `.
**Mapping.** `geo-data` → code, display name → name, parenthetical → city (curated coordinates, precision `city`),
country from the name prefix (US, Canada, UK, UAE, EU Sovereign → from the city), status `Live` → operational, else
`announced`. Sovereign section → `isSovereign: true`; Government section (US Gov / US DoD / UK Gov / Australian Gov) →
status `restricted`, `externalIds.oci_realm = government`. The **Multicloud** tables (Oracle Database@AWS / @Azure /
@Google Cloud) list partner-cloud regions, not OCI regions — skipped. AZ counts are not published (null).
**Quirks handled.** Some rows carry no `geo-data` (Turin, Jovanovac, Kenya, Morocco, all Government rows) → code =
slug of the name (`italy-north-turin`, `us-gov-east-ashburn`). "Spain Central 2 (Madrid)" reuses `eu-madrid-1` → slug
(the real `eu-madrid-2` is not printed, so we do not guess). Two rows have **swapped** codes on the live page
(`ap-batam-1` on "India South (Hyderabad)", `ap-hyderabad-1` on "Indonesia North (Batam)"): the parser checks the code
against the named city and falls back to a slug code, keeping the printed code in `externalIds.oci_geo_data`.
`uk-cardiff-1` is legitimately displayed as "UK West (Newport)" (alias list). Sovereign rows reuse the commercial
codes → slug codes `eu-sovereign-central-frankfurt`, `eu-sovereign-south-madrid`.
Spot checks: `us-ashburn-1` → Ashburn, Virginia US; `eu-frankfurt-1` → Frankfurt DE; `ap-singapore-2` → Singapore SG;
Kenya / "Morocco 2" → announced, country only.
