## What it is
Press releases of the grid operator for 14 central US states (Arkansas to the Dakotas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas panhandle). Seed `/newsroom/press-releases/` lists every release (74) as `/news-list/<slug>/`. Relevant items: FERC approval of the **High Impact Large Load (HILL)** connection process (2026-01-15), the board's accelerated pathway for large-load connection, the connection-study approval, load-shed event report, transmission-planning approvals.

## Quirks
- `robots.txt` is 404 → everything allowed (standard). No RSS.
- Article pages have **no date or description metadata**; the date is a dateline in the text ("January 15, 2026"), and a large mega-menu precedes the headline — `news_press_release_v1` starts the kept text and the lead summary at the headline.
- Staff-appointment and seasonal-outlook releases that mention data centers or large loads in passing become weak events only; no project records are expected from a grid operator.

## Verification
Verified live on 2026-09-12 with `scripts/try-connector.ts` (dry run, nothing persisted): 75 URLs discovered (1 seed + 74 releases), 5 fetched at L1 (0 credits): index (0 records) + 4 news_events (connection study, two appointments, summer forecast), 0 errors. `--url` on *FERC approves SPP's large load connection proposal* → 1 news_event dated 2026-01-15, 0 errors.
