Bank of Canada Valet API (`/valet/observations/group/FX_RATES_DAILY/json`, `/valet/observations/<series>/json`).

- **Type**: OFFICIAL_API · **Rights**: OFFICIAL_OPEN_DATA (attribution) · **Real-time**: END_OF_DAY (published ≈ 16:30 ET)
- **FX**: `FX<CCY>CAD` series are CAD per 1 unit of foreign currency → inverted when the conventional pair is `CAD`-quoted the other way (e.g. `USDCAD` = value as is; `CADJPY` would be inverted).
- **Rates**: `V39079` policy rate (RATE), benchmark bond yields 2y/5y/10y/long (YIELD). A LAST_PRICE copy is emitted so the generic quote machinery works.
- **Independence**: separate family from the ECB → USD/CAD gets two official observations and a real dispersion figure.
