- **Output**: `instruments` proposals. Listed tickers (Nasdaq/NYSE/CBOE) may be created (`eq_us_<mic>_<symbol>`); OTC or unknown venues only enrich existing instruments (`createIfMissing: false`).
- **Effect**: every US equity gets a `companies` row with CIK → EDGAR filings link to instruments.
- **Quirk**: SEC uses `BRK-B`; Market Atlas canonical symbol is `BRK.B` with the dash form kept as alias.
