# trademe — Trade Me API (New Zealand, gated)

`GET https://api.trademe.co.nz/v1/Search/General.json?category=<number>&rows=25&page=N` with
application-only OAuth 1.0a PLAINTEXT (`Authorization: OAuth oauth_consumer_key="…",
oauth_signature_method="PLAINTEXT", oauth_signature="<secret>&"`). Env: `TRADEME_CONSUMER_KEY`,
`TRADEME_CONSUMER_SECRET`, optional `TRADEME_ENV=sandbox` (api.tmsandbox.co.nz).

- Category numbers from the public `/v1/Categories.json` tree (Antiques & collectables subtrees, vintage
  toys, die-cast, Lego, trading cards, vinyl, watches, pottery & glass, rare books, comics, film cameras).
- NZD `listing`: Buy Now price / leading bid / start price; `listingType` auction vs fixed_price vs ask;
  `.NET /Date(ms)/` → `listedAt`/`endsAt`; `bidCount`; region/suburb as location.
- Cursor `{seedIndex}` rotates categories; identifier `trademe_listing_id`.
- Fixture synthesised from the documented response fields (no key yet).

Credentials: https://developer.trademe.co.nz → Register an application (production apps reviewed by
Trade Me); rate limit counted per hour, HTTP 429 when exceeded.
