Tools · SPBoucher is an independent reference work maintained by Simon-Pierre Boucher, an economist and professor working on financial econometrics, real-estate valuation and applied AI. It documents the software, AI systems, data services and research tools encountered in that work, written for readers who need to decide quickly whether a tool fits a job.
Every record is researched from primary sources: the official site, official documentation, the source repository, and the vendor's license, pricing and policy pages. Third-party directories are used only to discover candidates, never as evidence. Descriptions are original editorial prose; nothing is copied from vendor marketing.
Each record carries a confidence level, a list of the sources that support it, the date each source was checked, and an automated link-verification status. Where something could not be verified, the record says so in an explicit uncertainty note rather than guessing.
There are no affiliate links, sponsored placements or paid listings. Featured entries reflect editorial judgement about centrality to a category. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners; the site uses neutral monograms instead of vendor logos.
Every tool page has a “Spotted an error?” form. Reports are reviewed by the editor, who corrects the record and re-verifies its sources. To suggest a missing tool, use the same form on any related tool page and describe the tool and its official site.
The site runs on PostgreSQL (full-text and trigram search, optional vector search) and Next.js, hosted on the MacLustr Apple Silicon cluster and published through a WireGuard tunnel with automatic TLS. Public pages read from a database role that can only see published records.
