Therefore, a model of hedonic prices with correction for different types of spatial dependence was considered and a rich database provided by the City Hall was used, which includes information about sold properties and urban amenities. The evidence indicates that “ocean view” and proximity to the river are the most valued amenities in the city, while the value of real estate tends to be negatively affected by proximity to ZEIS, subways and violent places ===== PAGE 1 (score 7, numeric-paren 0, table-words 0, var-words 7) ===== Economia Aplicada, v. 20, n. 1, 2016, pp. 143-169 AMENIDADES URBANAS E VALOR DAS RESIDÊNCIAS: UMA ANÁLISE EMPÍRICA PARA A CIDADE DO RECIFE Deborah Maria da Silva Seabra ∗ Raul da Mota Silveira Neto † Tatiane Almeida de Menezes ‡ Resumo Este trabalho fornece estimativas da influência das amenidades sobre o valor dos imóveis residenciais em Recife, cidade particularmente mar- cada pela presença de praias e rios.
