## UNRATE.csv
- **Series**: UNRATE — Unemployment Rate, United States, percent, seasonally adjusted, monthly. Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Current Population Survey, via FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis).

- **Format**: exactly as served by FRED: header `observation_date,UNRATE`, one row per month dated on the first day of the month (YYYY-MM-01), 945 data rows from 1948-01-01 to 2026-09-01. Missing observations are served as an empty value field.
- **Units**: percent of the civilian labour force.
- **Vintage caveat**: this is the current (final) vintage as of the retrieval time. Values may have been revised since their first publication (annual seasonal-factor revisions). Rolling-origin results on this file therefore measure forecastability of the revised series, not historical real-time performance.
