# Contract (F4-conf-04)

Question. For each of five references (R1–R5) in data/reference_list.json, verify against its source extract (only admissible evidence) whether (i) the title matches the document title (minor typographic differences allowed), (ii) the year equals the first-submission year or the year of the reproduced version (from the "Bibliographic record" line), (iii) every element of cited_for (magnitudes, uncertainty, timing, population) is stated in, or follows arithmetically from, the extract. Estimand. Set of unverifiable references (fail >=1 check), per-reference record of three booleans + locator + note; n_verified. Assumptions. Extracts are faithful; "stated" means present in header/body; author formatting not grounds for flagging. Outputs. out/results.json keys: reference_checks, unverifiable_references, n_verified, task_id="F4-conf-04", feasibility, feasibility_reason, data_issues, n_input_rows ({file: wc -l lines or JSON top-level items}), n_analysed, random_seed=null. out/report.md (Question; Data and exclusions; Method; Results; Uncertainty; Limitations and open issues), out/analysis.py (regenerates results.json, prints relied-on header lines/cells), out/claims.json, out/exclusions.csv, out/state/*. Information rules. No memory of papers, other versions or external databases. Numbers exactly as printed. Invalidity. Missing/mismatched source files (hash mismatch), use of external knowledge, fabricated values.
