Columns:
gdp_level— vector v65201210, table 36-10-0434-01: Gross domestic product at basic prices, all industries, chained (2017) dollars, seasonally adjusted at annual rates, millions of dollars, monthly. Last available month: 2026-07 (the value for a reference month is published by Statistics Canada about two months after the end of that month — e.g. July 2026 GDP was published on 2026-09-30).gdp_yoy— target series: year-over-year growth ofgdp_level, 100 × (level_m / level_{m-12} − 1), rounded to 4 decimals (percent). Empty for the first 12 months.emp_level— vector v2062811, table 14-10-0287-01: Employment, both sexes, 15 years and over, seasonally adjusted, thousands of persons, Labour Force Survey, monthly. Last available month: 2026-09 (published in the first or second week of the following month).emp_yoy— predictor series: year-over-year growth ofemp_level, same formula, percent, 4 decimals.
Publication lags (information rule used in TASK.md): at the end of month t, gdp_* is known for months ≤ t − 2 and emp_* for months ≤ t − 1. Both series are the current vintage as of retrieval (monthly GDP and LFS employment are revised after first publication); the file is therefore a final-vintage dataset and the exercise simulates only the publication timing, not the historical first-release values. No real-time (vintage) validity is claimed.
