Raw data (not committed)
Raw files are downloaded by python -m wp35.acquisition.fetch into data/raw/<key>/ and are never modified. Their
release, URL, retrieval time, licence, size and SHA-256 are recorded in data/metadata/source_registry.json; a re-run
verifies the hash of any existing file and refuses to overwrite it. Nothing in this directory is redistributed in the
repository because of the D-PLACE (CC BY-NC 4.0) and V-Dem (non-commercial, citation) terms; every file can be
re-obtained from its public URL and checked byte for byte against the registry.
