# Brief — manuscript fixers (after Agent K's critique of 2026-11-03)

Read agents/briefs/WRITER_COMMON.md, then reports/critic/critique_parts_02_03_04_appendices.md and the issue rows of your file(s) in reports/critic/issues_parts_02_03_04_appendices.csv. Apply EVERY blocking and major fix and the minor ones that are quick; for each issue append a row to reports/critic/resolutions.csv (issue_id, file, action ∈ {fixed, rejected, deferred}, note) — a rejection needs a one-line justification. Facts that changed since the critique (use these, not the critique's text):

  • Amendment A-006 (protocol/amendments.csv): the CS-core rule is now in_dblp OR primary field = CS OR arXiv primary category cs.* (the arXiv clause no longer requires a CS topic); PRISMA now asserts after_exclusions = core + penumbra + neither (the "neither" set is reported by \PrismaNeitherCoreNorPenumbraAfterExclusions). Regenerate macros with python3 tables/make_numbers.py . (data/metadata/*.json are the corpus v3 files) and use \PrismaIdentifiedOpenalexPassOneCsTopicFilter (first-pass count) and \PrismaIdentifiedOpenalexPassTwoDblpArxivLinked (second pass) instead of describing 16.6 M as "first pass".
  • linkage_report.json now always carries the keys needed_oa_ids_second_pass.{dblp_doi, arxiv_doi}, link_dblp_oa.{doi, arxiv, title_year}, link_arxiv_oa.{arxiv_id, doi, title_year} (zeros when empty) → the macros \LinkNeededOaIdsSecondPassArxivDoi etc. exist.
  • Preprint citations ARE merged into the canonical node (bibliometrics/03_citation_impact.py, CY union) — say so.
  • Dedup routes: title+year (84,776 pairs) AND arXiv id (13,175 pairs) — \PrismaVersionRelationshipTitleYear, \PrismaVersionRelationshipArxivId.
  • first_date rule and date_precision (systematic_review/define_corpus.py): a YYYY-01-01 publication date is overridden by the preprint/arXiv date when one exists, and such records count as month-precision.
  • Donut windows ARE implemented (its_results.json its_chatgpt_donut); sensitivity windows are 2026-03 and 2026-08; placebo baseline-only p-values exist; bootstrap intervals are computed only in bibliometrics/04_diversity_cagr.py (B = 500, multinomial) — do not claim other bootstraps; Krippendorff α (MASI, interval form) IS computed; the keyword known-set evaluation (experiments/known_set.py) is a separate, preregistered-concept lead-time check and must be described as such, not as the H8 topic detector test.
  • Realised emerging-detection cutoffs: read the metrics JSON (results/emerging/metrics_h12.json, metrics_h24.json → train_cutoffs/test_cutoffs) when present; otherwise describe the rule (every third month, training ≤ 2021-12 for h=12 and ≤ 2020-12 for h=24, test 2023-01 … 2024-10).
  • Duplicate bib keys for the same DOI: keep ONE key per work (prefer the key in manuscript/references.bib), replace the other in your file's \cite commands and delete the duplicate entry from your part's bib; re-run python3 manuscript/merge_bibs.py. Do not change other files than your .tex, your part's .bib and resolutions.csv. Re-check compile with a scratch document. Report ≤ 15 lines.
