Bank of Canada Valet API (/valet/observations/group/FX_RATES_DAILY/json, /valet/observations/<series>/json).

• Type: OFFICIAL_API · Rights: OFFICIAL_OPEN_DATA (attribution) · Real-time: END_OF_DAY (published ≈ 16:30 ET)
• FX: FX<CCY>CAD series are CAD per 1 unit of foreign currency → inverted when the conventional pair is CAD-quoted the other way (e.g. USDCAD = value as is; CADJPY would be inverted).
• Rates: V39079 policy rate (RATE), benchmark bond yields 2y/5y/10y/long (YIELD). A LAST_PRICE copy is emitted so the generic quote machinery works.
• Independence: separate family from the ECB → USD/CAD gets two official observations and a real dispersion figure.
