# ngc-cert — NGC certificate verification

Verifies NGC coin certs against https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/<cert>/<grade>/ (Firecrawl render of the Cloudflare-challenged public page). NGC needs the holder grade in the URL — seeds are cert/grade (4627835-016/61, 8444762-003/NGCDetails); a bare cert renders the empty form and yields zero records.

  • certUrl("4627835-016/61") → canonical URL; certFromUrl returns the same cert/grade composite; splitCert() exported.
  • Output: catalog_item (description, grade MS61 + designation qualifier, grade date, label, images, identifiers.ngc_cert, NGC price guide in metadata) + partial population_report from "Total Graded by NGC: In MS 61: n / In Higher Grades: m" (sourceUrl = the public census page).
  • Fixtures: data/fixtures/ngc-cert/ — rebuild with capture.ts ngc-cert draped-bust-eagle-ms61=4627835-016/61 not-found=1234567-001/65.
